Reef Finance (REEF) is a cross-chain decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem and decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregation platform allowing users to gain smart DeFi exposure with interoperability across multiple blockchains including Ethereum, Polkadot, Avalanche, Cosmos, and Binance Smart Chain. Reef Chain is a fast and highly scalable Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible blockchain and smart contract platfrom built on Polkadot Substrate framework, allowing users can create their own REEF-20 Tokens and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) with support for on-chain governance. Developers can transfer their existing decentralized applications (DApps) to Reef chain without needing to modify its Solidity code. Users can participate in Reef Chain network validation and operate a node to earn passive yield on their staked REEF-20 REEF coin. Validators are responsible for reliable block production and elected by Nominated Proof of Stake consensus algorithm. Reef chain extends EVM with native token bridge, scheduled calls (to be used for recurring payments) and smart contract in-place code upgrades.
