Gold Pulls Back After Testing Resistance📊 Market Overview:
Gold fell to a low of $3,374 earlier today after testing the $3,434 resistance late last week. The drop was primarily due to profit-taking near recent highs, alongside a mild recovery in the US dollar. Despite this pullback, the medium-term uptrend remains supported by expectations of upcoming Fed rate cuts and persistent geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
📉 Technical Analysis:
• Key Resistance: $3,434 – $3,450
• Nearest Support: $3,374 – $3.360
• EMA: Price remains above both EMA 09 and EMA 20, suggesting a continuation of the short-term bullish trend.
• Candlestick / Volume / Momentum:
o RSI is holding around 61–63, no longer in overbought territory.
o MACD remains positive, though upward momentum has slowed.
o Bearish candles during the Asian session suggest lingering sell pressure near $3,430. A technical rebound from $3,374 is currently underway.
📌 Outlook:
Gold may consolidate between $3,370–$3,390 in the near term. If the $3,360 support holds, a rebound toward $3,420–$3,440 is likely. However, a stronger USD could increase downside pressure.
💡 Suggested Trade Strategy:
🔻 SELL XAU/USD at: $3,410 – $3,420
🎯 TP: $3,385
❌ SL: $3,430
🔺 BUY XAU/USD at: $3,374 – $3,378
🎯 TP: $3,400 – $3,420
❌ SL: $3,360
Futures market
Continue to try to short gold,It's expected to touch 3355-3345 Gold has broken through 3380 twice, but recovered quickly, indicating that the bulls still have some defensive power. At present, gold has touched 3400 again; it can be seen that the bulls' potential defense is still good, but it is not enough to support the continued rebound of gold in the short term. Obviously, gold is still under pressure in the 3410-3420 area in the short term. If gold cannot break through this resistance area in the short term, gold may continue to maintain a volatile state and continue to seek strong support downward. Only after gold breaks through the 3410-3420 area, it is expected to continue to rise and touch the area near 3450 again.
When gold tested the support near 3380 several times during the day and tried to break through this area, after gold failed to break through the 3410-3420 area in the short term, I think gold will be more likely to choose a downward direction, or even continue to test the 3355-3345 area. Therefore, for short-term trading, before breaking through the 3410-3420 area, we should not chase gold too much, and we can try to short gold in this area appropriately.
GOLD Eyes New Highs Amid Geopolitical Risk and Bullish StructureGOLD – Safe-Haven Demand Lifts Gold, Eyes on New Highs if Tensions Escalate
Gold futures pared some gains after approaching fresh record highs earlier in the session. The metal rallied strongly on Friday as escalating Middle East tensions — particularly between Israel and Iran — drove investors toward safe-haven assets.
Analysts note that if the conflict intensifies further in the coming days, new highs could be within reach for gold.
Technical Outlook:
A short-term correction toward 3404 or 3390 is likely. However, as long as the price holds above this support zone, the bullish trend is expected to continue toward 3448, with potential to reach 3486.
For a bearish shift, the price must break below the 3391–3381 area with at least a confirmed 1H close, which would open the path toward 3347.
Key Levels:
• Resistance: 3431, 3449, 3486
• Support: 3404, 3391, 3381
I think these 2 scenarios can happen for gold to reach new ATHGold supported by Israel-Iran conflict, US intervention in focus
Gold's sharp rise came late last week after Israel struck multiple targets in Iran, including Tehran's nuclear facilities.
The attack sparked fierce retaliation from Iran, which launched a barrage of missiles at key Israeli targets, including the financial capital Tel Aviv. Some of the Iranian missiles were also seen penetrating Israel's "Iron Dome" defense system.
What do you think?

Oil prices also fell sharply under the stimulus of the news, and then completed the correction rebound in the sub-session, and now back to around 71 again. The current trend is in the upward rhythm of the main trend, and it is expected that the trend of crude oil will be mainly in the form of shock consolidation.
Trading ideas than yesterday did not change too much, adjust the appropriate profit point.

Gold maintains bullish trend
💡Message Strategy
Gold rebounded in shock before the US market, and the market rose. Previously, gold recorded the largest single-day drop in a month (1.4%) on Monday. After the sudden situation in the Middle East and US President Trump's warning to Tehran, the market's risk aversion demand heated up again, pushing gold prices to rebound in the Asian session.
The two-day interest rate meeting of the Federal Reserve has also become the top priority of the market. Tensions in the Middle East have heated up again. According to Reuters, Israel's air strikes on Iran's state-run TV station, Iran's threats to launch the most violent missile attack in history, and the fire of three oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz have caused market concerns about the escalation of geopolitical conflicts. US President Trump left the G7 summit early and convened a national security meeting, which increased market risk aversion.
At the same time, ETF holdings have increased significantly. Data shows that ETFs increased their gold holdings by 136,000 ounces on the previous trading day, and the net purchase volume has reached 6 million ounces this year, reflecting that funds still have strong confidence in the future of gold. SPDR Gold ETF recorded a single-day net inflow of US$285 million last Friday, the largest scale in weeks.
In the US macroeconomics, the market generally expects the Federal Reserve to keep interest rates unchanged this week, but the focus is on Powell's speech and changes in the dot plot. As expectations of further interest rate cuts in 2025 heat up, the US dollar is still under pressure near a three-year low, and analysts believe that this will form structural support for gold in the medium term.
📊Technical aspects
The gold daily candlestick chart shows that the current trend is in a typical "rising wedge" pattern. Prices have been rising steadily along an upward trend line this year, while the upper side is suppressed by strong resistance in the 3420-3430 area. The current market is in a wait-and-see state.
The current gold market sentiment is in a "highly sensitive" stage. On the one hand, risk aversion once pushed gold to rebound rapidly, reflecting the market's extremely high pricing sensitivity to geopolitical risks; on the other hand, traders are still uncertain about the outlook for the Fed's policy, and the expectation that interest rates will remain unchanged has been fully priced in, but there are large differences in the future path of interest rate cuts.
If the results of the FOMC meeting are hawkish or Powell sends a signal that there will be no interest rate cut, and the market's risk aversion sentiment eases, gold may fall back to the key support area of 3350-3360 US dollars. Traders are closely watching the changes in the Federal Reserve's monetary policy and geopolitical situation, and at the same time be alert to the risks of "false breakthroughs" and sharp pullbacks.

XAU/USD 1H Technical Breakdown – Structure Shift in ProgressThis chart captures a clear market structure transition on Gold’s 1-hour timeframe, highlighting a shift from bullish momentum to a potential bearish phase.
🔍 Key Observations:
Uptrend Structure:
Price had been respecting a bullish channel with a sequence of Higher Highs (HH) and Higher Lows (HL), showing strong bullish momentum.
Break of Structure (BOS):
The bullish market structure was invalidated when price broke below the most recent Higher Low, marking a Break of Structure (BOS). This signals the end of the uptrend and beginning of possible bearish control.
CHoCH (Change of Character):
Before the BOS, price failed to make a new HH and began forming lower highs — this internal shift hinted at weakness and can be considered the Change of Character, occurring subtly before the BOS.
Bearish Projection:
Price is expected to retest the broken structure (potential lower high formation) and continue dropping toward the demand zone (green box) around $3,330 - $3,340.
Supply Zone Above:
The upper green zone marks a supply region, from where the bearish rejection initiated, reinforcing the bearish bias.
✅ Conclusion:
This is a textbook example of a trend reversal setup:
CHoCH ➤ BOS ➤ Pullback ➤ Continuation.
Traders may watch for short opportunities after a bearish retest, with the green demand zone below as a potential take-profit area.
Silver expectation 1HSilver has been developing for a while now, and its funneling into a bullish flag. Its had the change to break out, but couldnt, also, it could have gone into a sell, but didnt. The main uptrend is still being supported, so the chance of a bullish movement is good. The US news later will help price move well...lets hope its for the buy.
Gold (XAUUSD) – Demand Zone Holding, Silver Leading BreakoutGold has respected its demand zone near $3,367–$3,382 and is attempting to bounce higher. Importantly, Silver (XAGUSD in pink overlay) is leading the upside move, having broken out cleanly above $37.00 and still climbing. This confirms the bullish momentum across precious metals.
Geopolitical tensions, dovish Fed commentary, and risk-off market conditions continue to favor a move toward $3,451, $3,471, and possibly $3,495.
🔍 Technical Breakdown (4H)
Support Zone: $3,367–$3,382 (retest of broken resistance)
Bullish Structure: Rising lows, trendline holds, and higher timeframe support remains intact
Projected Targets:
🎯 TP1: $3,451 (recent high)
🎯 TP2: $3,471 (key extension)
🎯 TP3: $3,495 (top of range)
Stop Loss: Below $3,351 (invalidates demand structure)
🪙 Silver (XAGUSD) Overlay Insight:
Currently at $37.11+, showing leadership in the breakout.
Suggests gold will likely follow through — watch for Gold catching up.
🧠 Macro & Fundamental Context (June 17)
Bullish Drivers:
🔥 Ongoing Middle East war escalation (Iran-Israel, US troop buildup)
🏦 Dovish Fed tone, soft retail sales, rate cuts expected from Sept
🧾 Silver strength confirming demand across metals
Risks:
☮️ Unexpected ceasefire headlines could cause knee-jerk pullbacks
📈 Hot inflation data or hawkish Fed rhetoric could pressure upside
📅 Key Events to Watch:
FOMC members' speeches this week
US Core PCE inflation print
War headline velocity — particularly involving shipping or direct US-Iran confrontation
🧭 Strategy Suggestion:
Tactical Buy on Rejection Wick from current demand zone
Watch Silver momentum — if it breaks $37.50+, gold likely catches up fast
Consider scaling out around $3,451–$3,471 with final target near $3,495
XAUUSD Short Opportunity🔻 XAUUSD Short Opportunity – Targeting 3258.840
Gold is showing signs of weakness after testing key resistance zones.
I'm currently watching a short-term sell setup with a downside target at 3258.840.
If bearish pressure continues, this level could be hit soon.

Gold holds above key zoneAfter breaking the major resistance at 3,392 USD — a level that had been rejected multiple times in the past — XAUUSD is undergoing a slight pullback to retest the newly established support. The bullish reaction in this area suggests that buyers are still in control of the trend.
In the current context, U.S. retail sales have fallen more than expected, reinforcing expectations that the Fed may cut interest rates soon. This puts pressure on the dollar and benefits gold.
The primary scenario is a bounce from the current support toward the next resistance area near 3,481 USD. The 3,392 USD level has now become a key support to sustain the ongoing bullish structure.
Bullish reversal off 50% Fibonacci support? The Gold (XAU?USD) has bounced off the pivot and could rise to the 1st resistance which acts as a pullback resistance.
Pivot: 3,374.04
1st Support: 3,348.45
1st Resistance: 3,444.62

XAUUSD:A long trading strategy
Yesterday was affected by the easing signal gold high continued to correction, fell back to 3400 again, the trend exceeded personal expectations. Gold received another boost after the president's news, and rebounded slightly in the Asian session. In this eventful autumn, the market is subject to frequent news factors, the trend is slightly turbulent, to be ready to sweep back and forward.
Today's overall volatility is expected to have a contraction, individual expectations of the final close of the small negative line is more likely
