Fractal Breakout with Alerts (Signals on Candle After Fractal)
Description:
This indicator identifies fractals on the price chart based on the candle bodies over a user-defined period. It detects both top (bearish) and bottom (bullish) fractals by comparing the highs and lows of candle bodies.
When a fractal forms, the indicator saves its level. On the next candle after the fractal, it checks if the price closes beyond the fractal level by a configurable percentage threshold. If the price closes above a top fractal level (plus the threshold), it signals a Buy breakout; if it closes below a bottom fractal level (minus the threshold), it signals a Sell breakout.
The indicator displays fractal points on the chart as red downward triangles (top fractals) and green upward triangles (bottom fractals). Breakout signals appear as labels on the candle following the fractal: green "BUY" below the bar or red "SELL" above the bar.
Alerts can be set up to notify when buy or sell breakouts occur, allowing traders to react to potential trend reversals or continuations based on fractal breakouts.
User Inputs:
Fractal Period: Number of candles to consider for fractal formation.
Breakout Threshold (%): Percentage by which the closing price must surpass the fractal level to confirm a breakout signal.
