CVSE provides select exposure to the large-cap segment of the US equity market while promoting responsible investing. It invests in leading companies engaged in economic activities relating to several environmental and social factors that are financially material to the company. The fund targets companies performing in the top 20-40% of their peer group through a qualitative and quantitative selection process based on the advisers proprietary research. It selects and weights firms with lower carbon risk by considering their weighted average carbon intensity in efforts of maintaining an overall portfolio carbon footprint that is substantially lower than that of its benchmark index, the Russell 1000. The fund also prioritizes companies exhibiting better diversity as measured by weighted average number of women at the board level. Because of its active management, final selection of securities is at full discretion of the adviser.
