#Gold /
BTC (Digital Gold) correlation 🪙
Recently, we have seen a record-strong positive correlation. This is visible in the Spearman correlation, there are much more green bars in the 2-month period. Both of these assets play the role of a defensive asset🛡️
💡Why is gold growing? The main reasons are geopolitical instability, macroeconomics, and the growth of gold purchases by some countries with large economies, which decided to reduce dependence on US government bonds.

Note
📝My post yesterday told us that liquidity will flow into Bitcoin and gold. Comparing these two assets, which are also often correlated, is interesting.
🔁Most of the time, gold is the first to start moving up, and #Bitcoin catches up with it, this happens because we have a "risk-off" period, when risk assets are sold off for a while, until after losing these "weak hands", we start to catch up with gold.
💡These decorrelation zones are clearly visible on the Spearman indicator. Red bars (moment of decorrelation) were often a local bottom for Bitcoin.
